Oh boy….empty bottles. Okay…so I’m the first to review…empty bottles? I’m new to the homebrewing game since a friend gave me a Mr. Beer kit for Christmas. I ordered these empties from Amazon just before starting my first batch (it’s still fermenting).First, I was amused by the title: Mr. Beer Deluxe Bottling System? Jeez, talk about dressing up a sow’s ear into a silk purse. About like calling a ballpoint pen a ‘deluxe manual writing instrument’. I actually keep my bottles of beer in the carry box that comes with the bottles as this guarantees that they are always away from the light that is bad for the beer. Being plastic also helps the first time brewer. The Mr Beer kits use an in bottle fermentation stage. If you get this stage wrong, it can result in glass bottle alternatives exploding which can be both messy and dangerous. These plastic bottles let you feel how pressurized they currently are. When rock hard, your beer is done. It should be noted that you can use regular soda bottles…
